I haven't dived in Britain much this year maybe I'm turning into one of those fair weather divers. I used to dive all year round.

Then six months in Barbados spoilt me.  That was the life get up on a Sunday morning walk onto the patio. Put my kit together hoist it onto my back pick up my fins and wonder onto the beach.  By now of course I'm sweating a little.  Take a bearing put on the fins and fall into the water.

"So what was your buddy doing all this time. Right there with you I hope, doing shore cover perhaps." Errr he was in London writing Cobol code for JP Morgan.

"So why did you leave." I hear you ask.  Because out there my diving knife was used to fend off muggers as I crossed the road in St Lawrence Gap.  "What do you mean you want my dive computer look mate it's five years old and hasn't been decompressed for a fortnight."
